1. Maras town - Moray - Maras salt pans

We drive to Maras town, which even known keeps part of its original architecture from which we can observe finely decorated gateways with stone carvings showing local elements proper to the Peruvian Andes, we continue on driving this time to Moray, located at 11000 feet, here we have circular terraces which grow up on dimension as they are going to the top, the place forms part of a little agricultural laboratory used by the Inkas for the improving and diversification of crops, Now we start to walk down hill to the Salt pans at Maras where we can find about 5000 little pools used by the people to harvest salt on the traditional way.

2. Chinchero - Urquillos – Huayllabamba

We Start this hike by driving to Chinchero and walking by the archeological remains and the local church located there in Chinchero at 12 400 feet, we will see the colonial architecture of the temple built above the foundations of an Inkan palace. We go on watching the imposing farming terraces, right after we take a little path likely part of the ancient Inka trail, as we are going down hill we get to see more of the life of the local people, and the farming fields with their crops which may be potatoe, lupin beans, wheat, among others. Finally we descend to Urquillos, little hamlet where we take a break to eat our lunch boxes, finally we get back to the Hotel.

3. Chinchero - Huchuy Qosqo – Coya. (Duración: 8 horas) 

Early on the morning we will transfer you to the vicinities of Chinchero from where we continue on driving till arrive to Tauqaq, on the way we enjoy astounding panoramic views of the Piuray lake, once at Tauqaq  we start to hike up-hill to the Tauqaq pass at 14 000 feet, from this spot we can see the most important glaciers around like the Ausangate, La Verónica, Pitusiray, Sahusiray. After a little break we proceed but this time down-hill,  we go by the small town of Pumamarka, to end with we arrive to Huchuy Qosqo, our very informative guide will provide some information about the function and the architecture of this Inka Town, from this point you can also see a very important section of the sacred valley of the Inkas, finally we walk down to Lamay where our transportation will be waiting for us aside the famous Urubamba river.

4. Saqsayhuaman - Q’enqo - Templo De La Luna - Pumamarca

We drive to Sacsayhuaman on upper part of the city, here we will have the chance to see some of the biggest blocks moved by the Inkas, some can get to weight as much as 130 tons. Right after enjoying this place we continue to Q`enqo, enigmatic place which has a huge out-cropping stone probably used on ancient times to perform sacrifices or maybe mummifications. Now we continue to the templo de la Luna, place which is as amazing and mysterious as Q`enqo, the walk now take us by the  local farms with their different kinds of crops like potatoe, corn, faba beans and others, finally we arrive to Pumamarka, where we know once was built a palace or maybe a summer house for the inka King, but once the conquistadors arrived to Perú they took over the place and the place was turn into a hacienda for one of the conquistadors, after a very typical lunch box on the area we return to Cusco on our private vehicle.
